I don't mind how we play, provided it's entertaining (largely is) and yields good points tallies - we have 265 points over the last 3 seasons, same as City. We're certainly capable of scoring plenty of goals with our set-up, though admittedly Firmino's output has reduced and the January-March of 20/21 where we were really poor has spooked a lot of the fanbase.

You said we need a back-up forward and we have one in Jota, plus a couple of other "options" as well. I'm not against someone else coming in as I, like a lot of people on here, would like to see a forward and a midfielder coming in for the side, though I'm not panicking if it isn't this window.

Also, if there's a loss in translation here, let me know. You said "forward" - if you specifically meant "CENTRE forward" then my bad, as that's not how I read it.

yeah obviously, my oriiginal coment was how if Firimino gets the same amount has last season we win anything. i still think we are short up the top. False 9s are fine but we lack a real goal scorer in the centre

We do lack that sort of player. I’m not sure klopp is interested in a striker of that type though. We are never really linked with them.

Using me calculator, protractor, log tables and algebra, I had calculated we'd make another signing when this thread reached the 700 page mark.
Sadly it has stalled and been usurped by the January thread. Fsg get out of jail again!!
