But we do know when baldies contract is up to Man-city. if he knows Newcastle will give him 2 billion in a day. He would be there like a shot.
City started out buying average players for silly money and gradually worked their way up. Newcastle currently are a much bigger club than City were at their time of the buyout.
Factor in that Newcastle have been able to bring in big players before too, it's a big club waiting to happen. Just needs the right manager and some investment in the right people to do the off pitch stuff.
Could go very wrong also so it's one to keep an eye on.

Yep, Newcastle have everything they need to be a top club. They just need a proper manager and proper investment.

    Absolutely.

The idea of FFP is flawed. It was designed to keep the status quo. But fact that even these rules are being flouted anyway is laughable.

I think Newcastle would take a few years of not playing CL football (if it was enforced) to get themselves up with the top 5/6.

I do feel a bit sorry for the more decent Newcastle fans. Not in wanting Saudi owners, just in terms of the uncertainty that goes on and on and on around their club.

    Must be exhausting.

I only know 2 Man City fans and both lifelong fans that remember the Colin Bell era..
They both say the same thing - they were happier when they were in the lower leagues but on the mend. Curious?

Yes being a Newcastle supporter under Mike Ashley’s ownership must be pure hell. He’s never cared at all about the club except to promote his sporting goods stores. Worthless and beyond stubborn.
