They are happy no losing to us.they have zero intentions of winning themselves mind.
You can compare, when it comes to winning trophies. Teams set out to play City the same as they do against us, but they don't seem to have a problem with it.
If you're not sure what to do with the ball, just put it in the net, and we'll talk about the other options later... Bob Paisley.

Its all about intent. teams throw themselves into our shots..Not so much yesterday but recently they have.. Teams may play the same way against City. But the intent is still passive. Against us its a world cup final.

They had no intention of coming out to play yesterday, which i said would happen. They were quite content sitting back in their own half and hitting us on the counter, and but for poor finishing from Fernandes ( proving he is only human ) they could have won it. It showed a graph in the 2nd half of the average positions of the United team. Only one was showing someone in our half, the rest of them were in their own.

If we are brutally honest - it's Virgil that is the big miss here. We could have Fabinho and Virgil - Matip and Virgil or even one of Phillips /Williams and Virgil... Sadly it is that one player that makes such a huge difference to us. He would in any team to be fair but to our game in particular.
Its three in reality Matip is injured and until he plays again

I agree they do play this way against City as well and most of the time both of us find a way thats why we have hit 90 points for 2 seasons on the trot.

City done it 3-4 on the trot.

If United win it they will have this problem next season although with the pace they have up front you'd think teams will do it to them as well now.

Ok - So Lovren played 10 games last season - Matip played in 9.. We sold Lovren and didn't replace him - Matip cannot be considered genuinely as a senior CB as he is unfit or not picked more often than not and last season less often than seemingly surplus to requirements Lovren.

Big Virg has been THE difference. We've gone from being a decent side to European and Premier League Champions with him in the team. It's certainly not a coincidence.

Yep and more alarmingly we can all be fairly certain that we only get Virgil and most probably Alisson following the incredible money offered by Barca for Coutinho.

In fact one could say IF Neymar doesn't go to PSG - things could be very different right now..

How much are those sports scientists on at our club again?

Van Djik is a great defender and leader everyone knows that.

What is overlooked is he scores 6-7 goals a season and he is s serious threat against teams that park the bus as he wins so many headers.

Although this isnt reality its why I think Haaland is better suited than an Mbappe in England.

I tend not to bother with any pundits talk now yesterday it was switch on at 4.25pm to watch the game.

When the dipshits speak they say we hardly let goals in since VVD has been out but complete ignore we have changed our style to suit the CBs we have.

Also most had us as favourites for the title a week ago idiots

Having seen replays of the Firmino chance..He tried to side foot the ball he was being too intricate . A natural forward would have angle his foot and put his laces through the ball.
He always plays intricate ..Its good when it comes off ie with the link up play,if often breaks down as well.. But his position on the pitch is the biggest issue for me. also TTA form is a worry, he offers a lot of contribution with his final ball.
