Fittingly Fabinho bailed out Bobby with an excellent challenge on the edge of our box.
As good a CB display by Fab as we’ve seen, since he filled in back there at Stamford Bridge.

Adrian and Gomez, disasters waiting to happen the pair of them.
Fab, Robbo, Mané and Mo all been good, the rest mehh..

Looks more than assured. Good vibes about him playing there.

He's the second best centerback at the club, without question.

It's not even his natural position and yet when he's called upon to fill in and play there, you'd think he was born playing there with just how well he fits like a glove there.

There was one sequence when the Ajax players were running circles around our defense and working their way into a shooting position in the box right up until they came up to Fabby and he just stops an Ajax player mid-dribble cold, and just coolly clears it out of the area.

He did that multiple times against Werner when we played Chelsea, too.
He's no chump and right now is providing the stability we badly need in that backline.

That's only one game. Not too concerned to be honest. If hes ok in most games no need to worry, early days but he looks good upto now.

Fabinho has been excellent but Matip is better cant remember the last bad game he had.

I think we have been slightly better its a very open game and a good watch.

Ajax arent out of this but if we get the next goal we win.

    Yes he's class but let's see long-term

I would say this is the worst ajax side in years

    I'd take 1-0 right now

Let's make sure we're A LOT better second half, press and counter press a lot better and if we do sit off a little make sure we're doing so in very good positions

Interesting watch, like going through a time warp and watching Liverpool of early 18-19 again, no switches or distribution from midfield whatsoever and the only switches coming through full back to full back or long LCB to RFWD or RCB to LFWD balls and Robbo driving the ball forward brilliantly in the absence of anyone in midfield to connect his runs

Didn't Matip also have a scan after the Derby? Maybe Klopp isn't risking him? Also give Fab and Gomez the opportunity to build an understanding
