    David Alaba

Won't sign a contract with Bayern and will be available on a pre-contract in January.

Worth a punt? 28, slightly injury prone - absolutely world class on his day.

Is he a right back Bali ?
If you're not sure what to do with the ball, just put it in the net, and we'll talk about the other options later... Bob Paisley.

The “slightly injury prone” bit puts me off, plus his wages.
I bet you can squeal like a pig!

Err... that's a tough question in all honesty, sky. He used to be the best left back in the world a few years ago - recently he's been used as a makeshift CB for Bayern when they had their injury crisis. For Austria he plays in CM iirc.

According to transfermarkt his games break down as follows:

    LB: 242
    CB: 92
    CM: 36
    LM: 17
    DM: 6

Edit: Since 2010 he's apparently missed 80-ish games through injury... not great but also not awful.

Edit Edit: Yes, he'd be on laughable money. Think he wanted something in the region of 250-300kpw from Bayern - no way they'd pay that.

Yeah, think you put it well there, Kev. The thing is - at 28, he'd be a bloody good one. Let him go to PSG and rot there. I don't want him anywhere near Manchester.

Errr... is that Leeds or something? I'm not that familiar with English geography.
