    Say Goodbye to Melwood

It's the end of a 70 year era that's been behind our greatest successes. The first team have now trained at the historic site for the final time.

    Great article here

After the international break, the players will train at the new AXA Training Centre in Kirby. For the first time, the senior and youth teams will train at the same facility.

I bet you can squeal like a pig!

It will be good for the kids seeing all the superstars every day and It could be the motivation they need . Arsenal and Utd have had it like this for years.
Also the manager has a balcony to overlook not just the first team but all teams.

Sounds like a good move for me. A modern club requires modern facilities.

Good from a logistical point of view. Should help continuity.. But does leave a bitter taste too. I don’t live in the area and I guess most of you wouldn’t know your way around Liverpool without google.. but still.

Why not just move the entire club to Formby...? That way the players don’t even need to visit the ‘pool..

Seriously it is a shame the club sold Melwood to housing. I bet the locals are over the bloody moon. Couldn’t they have made sure it was a park for local youth ..? Somewhere the next Fowler or Gerrard could develop..? You know put something back you greedy fuckwits.
