To be fair to Klopp, you can't really blame him for having had one eye on the Brighton game and trying to manage his available resources accordingly.
It's just that what we have on the shelf in terms of our squad depth is really lacking.
I would argue the Brighton game is more important to win than this one, as we've virtually already qualified for the last 16 (with a point that we surely should be able to pick up in one of our last two games) in the CL.
In the league, considering the congested period coming up, we need to pick up maximum points wherever we can and the Brighton game would qualify as such (especially with a big Spuds game coming up not long after that).
I reckon Klopp probably saw it the same way.
