Then when you take away the lines you should be able to see if the player is offside.

I honestly don't think it was thought out properly.

They could definitely do it better, we agree on that. Don't like the idea of "you should be able to see" as it's so subjective. My goal would be to remove all subjectivity from the decision, just like we do with goal line technology. It's essentially the same geometrical problem.

I'm personally a big friend of the lines - if one pixel is off, you're off. No ifs buts and maybes. However, they're not being applied as well or as transparently as they should imo.

Just do what they do in horse racing(with a photo finish)what ever part of the attackers body crosses the line is offside..if its level its onside. no more fking armpits and arses and so on.
Theres always a chance of an error.. But right now theres wayyyy more errors in these stupid lines.

Highly paid referees who are sitting in a office looking at a TV screen "should be able to see"

One thing that would improve things "slightly" is if fans/tv can hear what is being said by VAR and the ref.

You can hear the dialogue at rugby & cricket so why not football ???

I may have turned David Icke here but I think we are being screwed over on purpose the worst decision Sheff Utd at home their player was outside the box yet VAR gave it !

The Saint's keeper just comes up with a double save to deny the Red Mancs an equaliser.

Cavani must be wondering why he came over here. He's always on the bench.
If you're not sure what to do with the ball, just put it in the net, and we'll talk about the other options later... Bob Paisley.
