We sold him because he wanted to play more games (apparently.....Or so we're told).
And Trent never seemed to get injured and there's no way that he was ever going to start ahead of Virgil, Matip, Gomez or Lovren (At the time).
But at the same time we gave Neco a 5 year contract, so go figure....
He looked fine to me the few times we played him - even better than some of our 'experienced' defenders and starters a lot of the time. At least with a hell of a lot more promise than a lot of the other youngsters.
Neco, in contrast, has always looked unreliable and shaky - but at the time we just thought it was inexperience.
Turns out he's just to up to snuff.
