That is so sad. 73 years old is nothing.
Thanks for the unforgettable fantastic memories, Gerard.
He started us on our path out of the wilderness.

He is a proud part of our modern history. In the 30 years between league titles we won 10 trophies. He was manager for 4 (40%) of them.

RIP Gerard, thank you for all the great memories and instilling some much needed professionalism and discipline back to the club

    Sad news, great memories.

I didn't feel he was always appreciated but some lovely tributes from a wide range of people today, not just Liverpool.

Spent an hour reading the tributes, very sad and only 73, he did a lot for the club, more than some realized

One of many fine nights under him - think he was pretty much just back from his first bout of ill Health, though my memory for pre-Rafa Liverpool is quite fuzzy these days.

We had a few dust ups with Roma under him. First English team to beat them and Olympiakos away for years and years. Maybe ever.

"you can never take away from me time and success "

And the fantastic relationship i've had with players with my staff and of course with the supporters

    we can't Gerard we can't

Even when he first was manager, and I was very young, I could still tell how nice of a guy he was
