    The Weekend’s Other Games 22/01/21

Couple of pieces of note re a couple of top four rivals even though it’s an FA Cup weekend.

File both pieces under ..”see how you like it.”

“Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne will be sidelined for four to six weeks with a hamstring injury, says manager Pep Guardiola.

The Belgium playmaker, 29, suffered the injury during Wednesday's 2-0 Premier League win against Aston Villa.

His absence will start with Saturday's FA Cup fourth-round tie at Cheltenham.

De Bruyne could miss up to 10 matches, including the Champions League last-16 first-leg tie with Borussia Monchengladbach on 24 February.“

    And

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy will undergo hernia surgery and is expected to be sidelined for a few weeks.

The 34-year-old's 11 goals so far in the Premier League this season have helped put the Foxes firmly in the title race.

"We've been managing him over the past few months." said manager Brendan Rodgers.

"He can't hold it off for much longer - there's a lot of time in the season for him to make an impact."

Both will really miss said players. City without Aguero already and Leicester are a different proposition without Vardy’s pace and goal threat.
About time Utd managed without Fernandes for a while and Spurs without Kane or Son.
    "I am the Normal One."

To be fair to De Bruyne, i'm pretty sure he missed that pen v us deliberately, looked embarrassed to have been given it, look half hearted stepping up and put it well wide

Be a lovely tonic if we bum the filthy on Sunday, the only positive about last night was it was a non team and rival that ended our run, not the filthy or UAE FC

The filthy haven't actually gained many points on the VAR front, i think it's only 2, but plus 2 for them and minus 9 for us is an 11 point swing

Stevie’s Rangers have today had 25 shots, 10 on target and scored 5 goals. A performance of some symmetry
    Rangers 5-0 Ross County

Earlier Arteta decided he would have a tilt at the League title, resting 7 players and going out of the FA Cup 1-0 at Southampton

Looking at West Ham’s line up they have a stronger second string than we do.
