I've never mentioned Spurs. Why you have mentioned them is anyone's guess. We need a squad that can provide Klopp with the type and amount of players that he needs, as well as refreshing the squad year on year. That has been the modus operandi of every club in the PL that has had a sustained period of success, so why you think we can/should operate in a completely different way is again anyone's guess.
Its become very stale though. We need fresh faces with real quality.a player who can get at least 15 goals in a forward area.
Our midfield isnt great right now. you can look at injuries to the likes of Keita and Ox. They need to be shifted on. No use having them in the dressing room like a spare at a wedding. they need to be playing.
Cleaning up the Scots since the 13th century
Whose or what net spend would have been acceptable. If it's about us being 14th but not about other clubs as you say, what is the figure for us?
If city didn't spend enough to sustain their dominance I fret to wonder what the level of investment would be required to maintain dominance.
And £50m for Keita and about £40m for Oxlade-Chamberlain, they didn't cost peanuts. Have they been worth the money ? It's not about how much you spend, it's about getting the right players. How much have Man Utd wasted since Ferguson left ? In that time they have 1 FA Cup 1 Europa League and a League cup. Not good enough for how much they have spent and wasted.

If you're not sure what to do with the ball, just put it in the net, and we'll talk about the other options later... Bob Paisley.
Leicester seem to be doing alright, and they have invested even less than us without the likes of trent coming through
Because it's an indication of how much we are spending relative to other clubs, both those we are trying to compete with, and those who we aren't/shouldn't be competing with. That is the important issue, not how those other clubs have spent their extra resources.
It's like being the world record holder in the 100m and going into a race where one of the competitors (a club level sprinter) is wearing decent but not great spikes, whilst your trainer has provided you with a pair of budget spikes that were in the bargain bin of the local 'Shoe Zone'. Yes you'll probably still win the race, but you're going to ask your trainer as to why they would do that, and you'd inform him/her that those bargain bin spikes are liable to cause you serious problems/cost you races, as well as likely falling apart very quickly.
