    Week 25 results

    This season there has been a dearth of double digit scores, which has certainly not been helped by the fractured nature of the fixture list, combined with 'current events'. However this week's larger than 'normal' fixture list gave ample opportunity to those participating in the competition to rack up a sizeable score, and I have to say that quite a few certainly took advantage of that opportunity.

    No less than eight out of the league's twelve participants managed to get into double figures this week, which would have been noteworthy on it's own, however standing proudly atop of the podium this week is Skyebo who blew away the rest of the competition courtesy of his massive, and possibly record breaking total of eighteen points. Sharing second place on the podium this week is Dicko1969 and yours truly after we both scored a reasonably impressive total (though not quite as good as Skyebo's haul) of fourteen points apiece.

    This week's extra special mention of course has to go to Skyebo, who now possibly holds the record for the most perfect scores AND the highest individual score in any one set of fixtures. He also gets extra kudos for being the only person to get the Man U v Newcastle score spot on. Also worthy of special mentions are Redebreck who was the only person to get the BS v Man City score spot on, CCTV who was the only person who did likewise with the Brighton v Crystal Palace score, and Joetan and BlackSalmon who both posted respectable totals despite not getting in their predictions for a number of games.

    One final thing worth mentioning is that for the second week in a row eight of the twelve league participants correctly predicted the score in one particular game, with that game being Aston Villa v Leicester.

    Week 25 scores

    Skyebo = 18 (5 perfect scores & 3 correct results - BUR v WBA, FUL v SU, WH v TOT, AV v LC, MU v NEW)

    Dicko1969 = 14 (3 perfect scores and 5 correct results - SOU v CHE, WH v TOT, AV v LC)

    RedNoodle = 14 (3 perfect scores and 5 correct results - BUR v FUL, FUL v SU, AV v LC)

    Redebreck = 12 (3 perfect scores and 3 correct results - EV v MC, AV v LC, BHA v CP)

    Joetan = 11 (3 perfect scores and 2 correct results - BUR v WBA, FUL v SU, AV v LC)

    Fayyazms = 11 (2 perfect scores and 5 correct results - BUR v FUL, FUL v SU)

    Charliev = 10 (2 perfect scores and 4 correct results - WH v TOT, AV v LC)

    Reddownunder = 10 (1 perfect score and 7 correct results - BUR v FUL)

    BlackSalmon = 9 (2 perfect scores and 3 correct results - SOU v CHEL, AV v LC)

    CCTV = 9 (2 perfect scores and 3 correct results - SOU v CHEL, BHA v CP)

    Kev0909 = 9 (1 perfect score and 6 correct results - AV v LC)

    Ianlfc = 5 (1 perfect score and 2 correct results - BUR v FUL)

    Current standings

    You'd have thought that this week's bumper set of scores would mean big changes in the way the table looks, but because all but those at each end of this week's results were fairly close together, little has changed in the table, with one notable exception. As a result of his week winning and possibly record breaking total this week, Skyebo has opened up a nine point gap at the top of the table over Kev0909. Is this the big push from Skyebo where he leaves everyone in his wake akin to the plastic Manc's in the actual league? Only time will tell, but he'll certainly be hoping that is the case.

    A point further back is Reddownunder, whilst Fayyazms remains in the fourth and last CL spot, though Charliev and I, Mr RedNoodle are only three points further back in joint fifth, with Dicko1969 one point behind us both. As a result of this Joetan falls back two places, though as mentioned above, it could have been a lot worse for him given he didn't get in his predictions for all of this week's games.

    Skyebo = 169

    Kev0909 = 160

    Reddownunder = 159

    Fayyazms = 155

    Charliev = 152

    RedNoodle = 152

    Dicko1969 = 151

    Joetan = 149

    Redebreck = 148

    CCTV = 143

    Ianlfc = 135

    BlackSalmon = 109

    Justme = 85
