    Leeds fail to score from a golden opportunity with five minutes left to play, which denies me yet another perfect score.

    Week 26 results

    After last week's bumper set of fixtures and resulting scores, a few participants would have been hoping to put in a similar performance this week. Whilst nobody could match Skyebo's perfect score record from the previous week, a number of people did manage to get a respectable number of scores spot on, and of those that did so the person that gets to claim the top step on this week's podium is CCTV who took the most advantage of the expanded fixture list and top scored with sixteen points. Yet again the next step on the podium looked like a balancing act that should be on "LFC Online's Got Talent" as a result of it being occupied by the trio of Dicko1969, Ianlfc, and little ol me, all of whom have to settle for second place behind CCTV by virtue of scoring fourteen points apiece. If anyone knows of a carpenter who can build us a bigger podium, can they send me some details. If it's going to collapse, it's bound to do so when I'm on it.

    This week's special mentions go the weekly winner CCTV who was the only person to predict that Man City would beat Wolves 4-1, Skyebo who predicted that West Brom would score the only goal in their game against Brighton, yours truly who was the only person to predict the score in our game against Sheffield United, Dicko1969 who was the only person to get the WBA v BS score spot on, and Reddownunder who correctly predicted that the Chelsea v Man U game would be a goalless bore-fest.

    Week 26 scores

    CCTV = 16 points (3 perfect scores and 7 correct results - Man C v WH, New v Wolves, Man C v Wolves)

    Dicko1969 = 14 points (3 perfect score and 5 correct results - New v Wolves, Bur v LC & WBA v Ev)

    Ianlfc = 14 points (2 perfect scores and 8 correct results - Newcastle v Wolves & Everton v Southampton)

    RedNoodle = 14 points (2 perfect scores and 8 correct results - New v Wolves & Sheff U v LFC)

    Charliev = 13 points (2 perfect scores and 7 correct results - Newcastle v Wolves & Burnley v Leicester)

    Reddownunder = 12 points (2 perfect scores and 6 correct results - Chelsea v Man U & Burnley v Leicester)

    Skyebo = 11 points (2 perfect scores and 5 correct results - WBA v Brighton & Burnley v Leicester)

    Fayyazms = 10 points (2 perfect scores and 4 correct results - Man C v West Ham & Everton v Saints)

    BlackSalmon = 9 points (9 correct results)

    Redebreck = 6 points (6 correct results)

    Kev0909 = 5 points (5 correct results)

    Current standings

    At the end of week 26 Skyebo still has a nine point lead at the top of the table, however where as last week it was Kev0909 in second, this week that spot is occupied by last year's champion Reddownunder. I move up it into third despite a poor return from the second set of this week's fixtures, whilst there is now a four way tie for that fourth and last CL spot between Charliev, Dicko1969, Fayyazms, and Kev0909. Elsewhere CCTV moves up a couple of places, and he's now only half a dozen points behind that crowded race for the fourth and last CL spot.

    Skyebo = 180

    Reddownunder = 171

    RedNoodle = 166

    Charliev = 165

    Dicko1969 = 165

    Fayyazms = 165

    Kev0909 = 165

    CCTV = 159

    Redebreck = 154

    Ianlfc = 149

    Joetan = 149

    BlackSalmon = 118

    Justme = 85
