I don't mean to be harsh with our players really. But i tend to be honest as well.. Its not fair to compare players like Van Djik with our current defenders. But they need to be his quality. Otherwise its a massive come down..

we’ll be better in europe as teams play football so we aren’t as restricted - unless we play the spanish burnley.

as long as jota hits form and we get to the sf or second leg qf with virgil back, i think we could nick the european cup.

that would be the greatest achievement ever by a manager considering the circumstances.

I am very confident we'll go through I have been since we drew Leipzig.

They play a very high risk game and leave space in behind and they will have to do that being two goals down.

We arent letting many goals in we just cant score any !

We're playing shit football anyway, I'd say park the bus and play on the counter with pace upfront

In fact while we're in this rut, I think we should change style completely

I can foresee a change in set-up coming if we get knocked out of Europe.

But we probably feel we can get through European ties with our style/philosophy/set-up/whatever, so you don't want to be training one way for the League to then potentially be re-training what will then be the "old" way for Europe.

Think we will see the same overall principles of the system for the rest of the season until we get knocked out, then we might hit the re-invent button a bit.

    442?

    Alisson
    Trent Phillips Fabinho Robertson
    Ox Thiago Wijnaldum Shaqiri
    Salah Mane

    Or 4231

    Alisson
    Trent Phillips Kabak Robertson
    Thiago Fabinho
    Salah Wijnaldum Mane
    Jota

    343

    Alisson
    Fabinho Phillips Kabak
    Trent Thiago Wijnaldum Robertson
    Salah Jota Mane

Feels like it's time to change something as the same old just isn't working

    Alisson
Trent Davies if fit/phillips Fabinho Robertson
    Ox Thiago Wijnaldum Jota
    Firmino/Jones/Shaq
    Salah

4-4-1-1 won't ever happen, but for this tie, Ox on the right to help cover Trent defensivly and help in midfield, against a team we should beat i'd play Salah where ox is, and mane for Salah

Ideally kabak will start impressing or davies will come into the team and play well, and fabinho will take thiago's place (on current form)

If we score early and last 30 mins, could even put Milner on for, Jota, or if we want to play even more defensive, while ox and milner cover the sides, robbo and trent can push forward

It's just amazing how many shite players, past and present, have won a champions league final with Liverpool.

That gives me hope for this season.

    Kabak in training today.

Firmino out with a knee injury. We're screwed. (We're not)
I bet you can squeal like a pig!
