Challenges are always huge at that level, but managers are brought in to overcome them, that's why they are paid so well. It didn't take Mourinho long to break the Ferguson Wenger dominance. 2 titles in his first 2 seasons. We wanted him here in 04 but he had already promised Chelsea. We may have been ahead in titles had he came here, and brought Cech Essien Lampard Robben and Drogba with him.
If you're not sure what to do with the ball, just put it in the net, and we'll talk about the other options later... Bob Paisley.

Mourinho did a great job at Porto and has an excellent cv.
BUT outside of Porto he has always managed the team in the box seat for his title wins Chelsea (00's Man City) Madrid and Inter (Juve relegated).
Yes he won a title in his second spell at Chelsea but City were only just starting their project as they say Chelsea were 7-8 years in front.
Take a look at Mourinho at United/Spurs not the best squads but had been nowhere near a title.
He did have an excellent CL win with Inter to be fair but im not convinced he would have won a title here.
England go out of the u21's after some shocking results, beat croatia 2-1 but needed to win by 2 goals, croatia scored in injury time.
The manager of u21 said the shockin results was due to..... youth being in first team, yet.... with the squad he had at u21 level.... should do better, pathetic.
Jones sent off after FT after being angry about something / bloody nosed.
He even left jones out v switzerland apart from off the bench, what is with international managers being shite / a joke? it's a bit like a shit entry to the eurovision contest every time it happens, with no hope.

Look at the players picked ahead of Jones in the previous matches, ridiculous.
Sterling at it again, on his way down before he was touched and wins the penalty.
England 1-0 Poland
Kane pen
Declan Rice looking the great potential successor to Hendo I've always viewed him as, he needed to improve and he has a lot and can continue improving, and the good news, if he keeps this up Hendo won't need to go to the Euros so can have a well deserved rest

That free kick from Foden certainly was the mark of a "generational talent".
We hugely overrate Jones, that Bellingham lad's better than Jones, much more incisive and creative with his passing, Jones is a decent young talent with great potential, nothing more, he seems to lack the mentality to translate all the positive things people say he is capable of into top level matches, his pressing is still really poor for me to.
I've not seen anything of why he's rated so highly, looks neat and tidy at times, takes too many touches and slows things down far too often, frequently takes the easy option when there's an option to be very direct and play one of our forwards in with a more difficult pass, but one any pro footballer should comfortably be able to make and is poor in the press - Good young prospect, but nothing at all to write home about
