I've said this a number of times recently, but I'll say it again. I know it was reported that Ings and Klopp had some sort of 'agreement', however I would not be in the least bit surprised if the decision to let Ings go was taken out of Klopp's hands, especially when we've kept other players who are as injury prone, if not more so than Ings, but are in a least a number of cases, certainly less productive than he is.
I think I remember klopp saying he couldn’t stand in his way when he couldn’t promise him a starting berth or something to that effect but that he really admired him as a player when he left? I know that managers toe the party line but in this case just I think the move was best for all.
Ings is a good player but he wouldn’t have shown this form here as he wouldn’t get the game time.
He isn’t as good as Firmino or Jota it’s not even up for debate.
He possibly doesn’t have the robust fitness for us either like Keita Matip Ox.
As harsh as it sounds we need players who are available for us and Ings has had 2-3 bad ACL injuries.
Everton 1-0 Palace
James 55 mins
Nothing to see here ...
Everton 1-1 Palace
Batshuayi 85 mins
Another good result
F/T Everton 1-1 Palace
Everton 2 points behind us with a game in hand.
Awful game, Everton in the Champions League would be a travesty.
A Wolves win now will just about complete our weekend.
