Probably would be in top4 right now if we played CB's at CB and fab in midfield

(through that month or so when we dropped loads of points yet we did have cbs on the bench that could play)

We'd be top four comfortably without the great VAR robbery of 2021 and if we'd been playing Captain fantastic and maybe Fab too in midfield, from day one of our injury problems I called that our best way of protecting our defence and scoring goals was to play our best possible midfield

Jota has to start v real surely?

Certain he will, I said I thought he and Gini were starting from the bench today to be brought on later because of the upcoming Champions League game, Jota was rested from the start, not dropped

Kabak will be world class injury permitting.

Hes looking miles more comfortable. Who knows what he coild be like when Virgil comes back.

He should really have been starting today. Klopp has no excuse/reason not to play him from now till the end of the season. He's done all he can, whilst Firmino has added very little as of late. He could play all four, but I think that would make us even more exposed than we have been, especially with no Henderson in midfield.

Could an argument be made for keeping him on the bench to start the game against Madrid and then bringing him on early in the second half as an impact sub?

He certainly completely changed disposition of the game when he came on today.
We've looked an entirely different beast since he's been on - more dangerous, decisive and clinical.

It has to be said how bad Arsenal have been. Shocking from the off.

I mean, a lot of credit (or at least some), has to go to our high pressing of them earlier one which forced them to abandon their playing out from the back strategy.
And they've been really good playing out from the back in previous games.

They're not a good "pack the back/park the bus" defensive team in playing in that style which they were forced to do a lot of today.
Some teams thrive on that dire style.
Arsenal are not it.
