Had all sorts of issues down our right in the first game, not because of Trent, but because Keita left him 2v1 loads of times, then Thiago continued the trend when he came on, until Jurgen had to move Gini over there

    So for me

    Alisson

    Trent Phillips Kabak Robertson

    Wijnaldum Fabinho Thiago

    Salah Firmino Jota

I don't want to see that ridiculously high line, I expect to see the set up and press that's been so successful for us in Europe this season, block the lines to play out, set traps, while being in great positions to quickly move into space to receive a cleared or intercepted ball.

Whoever is in the No9 position needs to understand in no uncertain terms that while we are setting traps they CANNOT stand off Kroos or Modric if they drop deep between the 2 CBs to receive the ball, instant rapid press every signle time when that happens. Might be very effective in setting traps, press Kroos or Modric very quickly and the other 2 quickly press his options

I wanted Wijnaldum in before today Nineteen, but didn't think much of him out there if I'm honest.

I'll not moan if he starts, but I wonder if Milner could manage 60 minutes for us.

If they score it's done. 1-0 to us at half-time wouldn't be bad going.

I'd be happy with that, though hard to believe we're not to bothered with Sadio not starting.

Gini was awful today that's two in a row from him.

    Alisson
    Trent Philips Kabak Robertson
    Milner(c) Fabinho Gini
    Salah Firmino Jota

Have to have milner in there imo, have to defend the right side of defense and keep vincinius quite.
Realistically 2 6s in fab and Gini, Milner rcm

    ...... fab .... gini
    Milner
    ...............Bobby Jota
    Salah

Harsh on Mane but he was gash v real in the first leg.
Not too bothered about the front 3, I'd have Salah play 90 due to goals, Bobby to start for defensive work rate and one of Jota/Mane start with them 2.
The other an option off the bench, Jota is a superb sub .

Ideally start defensive, grab a lead at some point and take it from there.
Chasing goals as the game progresses milner off and Mane/Jota on.

It's a tall order, somehow, someway...

I'm the same, I love Gini but Only Mo and Diogo can be relied upon on past performances and form.
