Our first X1 is as good as anyones, and better than most, we just need a bench that isn't full of sicknotes.
If you're not sure what to do with the ball, just put it in the net, and we'll talk about the other options later... Bob Paisley.

In fairness to Klopp and the other managers there wasnt much they could say they probably knew it wouldnt happen.

Klopp made it clear he didnt want the super league that is enough for me.

I said as soon as it broke it wouldnt happen it just wasnt possible it was a dumb idea.

Despite your many attempts to speak to the contrary all evidence of genuine success points to fantastic managers.

Was it Shankly who built us up or the owners?

Busby, Stein, Paisley, Ferguson, Wenger or even our Klopp OR was it the owners...? .

Owners can put a platform down by signing whoever the manager wants - see Chelsea or City - but many clubs are run sustainably and live like Southampton or indeed Arsenal.

Klopp has been the factor in our success. That is not even a debate.

You are clearly an individual who refuses to see our owners for what they are. Not terminal but predatory all the same.

No point talking with you on this matter. Perhaps you should stick to the pandemic.
Don't worry mate, it's the same guy that thinks covid 19 was a hoax, some people just like to be controversial and get off on it, probably thinks earth is flat, and Chauvin was not guilty in the george flloyd trial too.

Fair play to henry for saying sorry, but he was sort of forced.... after more negative PR after statement yesterday

Agree on caution regarding the likes of Neville and Carragher speaking on the behalf of Sky. They (privately) are just as likely as anyone to want FSG and Glazers to be replaced by entities from China or Saudi Arabia, in the hope of enormous investment in a sports-washing project in England.

You'll never see them criticise Abramovich or the Saudis (who are the ones who really raped Football - and the Oil Clubs will have more control at UEFA than ever now) Do you think it is a coincidence Abramovich and it will only get worse when some of these institutions get new owners. The words of the likes of Neville, who (on a smaller scale) was complicit in the financial doping of Salford need to be taken with ENORMOUS pinches of salt.
Carragher was told last night one of the sponsors pulled out of LFC and he was gloating they sent him a watch the other week.

Yeah when City broke all the rules hardly anything was said and if we as fans think it they must be as well.

It was as good as anyone’s, and we had a way of playing that suited them. For a few reasons we’ve lost a lot of what made us successful. I don’t think we’ll tumble down the league dramatically or anything but we not winning another title or cl with this squad.

I thought it was all about net spend?

By your own logic, this year's 'football' as you call it (and I don't think its 'football' without the fans, as I have stated many times) is a poor reflection on the manager.

Maybe its not totally a reflection on the manager. Maybe its not totally a reflection on investment. Understanding complexity requires some agility of mental processing - the kind where you don't reach for your deepest insults when someone pulls you up on your claims in a straightforward manner.

You make big claims all the time Steveo - I usually think they are simplistic and worse than that actually. I've waited thirty years to see us win the league again and to win the European Cup with the best team in Europe. I remember the pain of not being good enough for all those years. I've tried to understand what was going wrong and I came to the conclusion that it was the way the club was run - not merely the manager. Rafa was a great manager who didn't get the support he deserved, and that had little to do with net spend. Remember, we were always big spenders and underachievers.

What you have been doing is agitating for regime change - I think it's foolish. You may get your wish and what we'll have is Saudi Arabian owners with fuck off money and no sense. Great. Congratulations. Maybe I will go off and watch NFL at that point and you can have your great socialist club back.

Sadly for you my simplistic claims have been proven well founded.

To be fair I was a bit quick to jump on you Taksin. I apologise for that.

I am pretty angered right now to be honest. I had hoped I was wrong or overstating the negatives of FSG but this has confirmed everything I feared.

I am fully aware of your view on this and it feels from everything you say that you would have been in favour of this garbage closed franchise idea.

I told you who I felt these folks were years ago and you tried every mechanism you could to debunk it.

This is a forum however and if you want to defend their modus operandi that is fine and I shouldn’t get personal.

Taksin without socialism ( in its true sense ) Liverpool FC means nothing!

And I would NOT support us if we had Saudi owners. That I could never stomach.

Never hated FSG but never wanted them - always knew it would be an uphill struggle. I was made up when the bagged Klopp - their best work.. but despite that it seems they have managed to fook it up.

No you're not. You're not even aware of the views I have expressed on this thread. I am against this idea. I think a European Super league would bore me shitless.

I think it was a mistake by FSG and the other 11 clubs, although I can see the problem they were trying to address.
