I understand that growing up in a indoctrinated Catholic nation you are totally programmed to hate the term - but socialism is the best of humanity. It is what gave us the NHS the greatest and only true socialist legacy this country has..

Not that it has anything to do with you buster but I payed for a holiday for my family over a long period of time - was locked up at home for months on end and then told I would lose 75% of what I had payed for the holiday. So I got in the car and drove. Not that I have to justify that, my broadband or my Sky subscription to you - nor the cost of a match day ticket to see a team you never have.

You - and a few others like you would defend the deplorable behaviour by those who already earn more in a day than most do in a month. Good - it reveals who you are.
In a sense I am envious of your holier, affluence and matchday experiences they all sound very nice. But I dont let it eat me up, or miss out on what i have got.

Never fear the poor are getting richer too, not poorer as so many seem to believe. Inequality grows and from it wealth flows. The paradoxical nature of reality which seems so abhorrent to many, like we die being so cruel to some, it's just how shit actually works.

Football should be sustainable. The problem (big picture here) isn't us not spending enough - it's too many football clubs spending on the back of massive debt. Football needs reform. Financial Fair Play is a pretty sound idea, sadly not implemented at all. Salary caps would be excellent. Regulation would be excellent.

I'm saying that as someone who feels that FSG's position is now untenable. But if they're going, I want them all to go - Glazers, Abramovich, Levy, the lot. The abolition of the Super League is a battle won. There's a War for Football that lies ahead.
If FFP was implemented properly, and there was a salary cap, it would make a huge difference. The problem is that many of the people running the game are corrupt.
Greed has taken over the game. With greed comes corruption.

The wealth divide has never been as wide as it is today but don't let that get in the way of you publishing knowledge gleaned from a life under a rock.

I guess we can agree - you would be an expert on how "shit actually works"..

    My opinion of FSG.
When they took over it was a massive relief. they got rid of Roy, we were rid of those two American gangsters and it drew a curtain on probably the worst period of onfield Liverpool history in my memory, (worse than the end of the Souness era).
My gut instinct was, and actually still is, that John Henry is an alright guy, brought up in an intense capitalist environment. He has made quite a few mistakes, the 77 pound ticket, the furlough debacle, and now this. I think for a man of his age it is quite a culture shock to suddenly try to understand the cultural values of an old school working class football club in Liverpool.
Despite his mistakes he has ushered in the most glorious period of our history in thirty years. that is not to be sniffed at. He had the astute vision to sign Jurgen Klopp. We have won the champions league, the premier league, even the world club champions. He has upgraded the stadium without us having to leave Anfield. For me that is a massive thing.
When he talks in that video about the Liverpool family, he is saying the right things obviously. You have to wonder whether he is just paying lip service or if he truly gets it.
Personally I would say the jury is out, out but doubtful. Maybe it would be a shrewd move on his part to make a gesture, maybe distribute some of his wealth in the wider Liverpool community, around Anfield and in the city in general, among the local people who have suffered massively during this covid crisis without having the safety net of millions in the bank.
I would be less inclined to hound him out, because frankly if he sold up we could end up with much worse owners.

Dont confuse the distribution of wealth, with the measurement of actual wealth. Global poverty is on course for eradication.
Both are valid ideas in themselves and it's not coincidental that both are true at the same time, as I see it.
It must be confusing to many though.

Posting a video is nowhere near enough.
I think John Henry needs to come here in person and somehow address the fans in public to explain himself, his reasoning and his future plans.
