Maybe to swing the balance more in favour of the guy taking the penalty (the offended party).

I find it fun revisiting just how far Dudek came off his line.

Speaking of pundits and commentators, someone a while ago (maybe Roy Keane) described us as being "terrible Champions" because we weren't going to make Top Four having won the Title the previous year.

Even though no team that isn't called Man City has remained in the Top Four following a title win since 2012.

Man United came 7th in 2014.
    Chelsea came 10th in 2016.
    Leicester came 12th in 2017.
    Chelsea came 5th in 2018.

Agree Sid - it was always tough to defend a title. Think you will find that managers were sacked in some of those cases above though.

This season has made a mockery of those who were suggesting this was one of the greatest Liverpool sides ever.

Must have been those who never witnessed what dominance looks like. We used to win so much it became almost boring.

We had one season where we went - almost - to the very end of 2 competitions - 2019... then the owners had Jurgen paying bills.

The team was overachieving with a small squad and still they pulled the plug on strengthening.

For consistency, it would be hard to repeat what we witnessed in those 80s teams, we won everything. This present team won't get anywhere near to that.Great teams carry on winning.

Klopps system is the reason this team won anything at all. Put those 13 or 14 under any other manager they don’t win feck all.

Whatever the reason they won't come close to achieving what those 80s sides did.

Of course they won’t. City and Chelsea will clean up for the next while.
