Only just managed to watch the game but that was a great pass by Firmino (after 3 or 4 minutes) and was behind the sliding defender and would have been perfect for our striker in the middle of goal to slot in but the sliding defender had his arm down and the ball hit his hand.
Does not appear to be much made of it on this thread and not much protest from the Liverpool players and no VAR involved but it looked a nailed-on penalty to me.

I thought that too. And the other one should’ve been given by today’s standards.

In the end having to fight for the win probably helped us psychologically. There’s something about those weird penalties that make the team feel guilty for their advantage.

It’s Old Trafford though. Even when the red gave us a penalty VAR intervened to overturn it.
VAR is only used for Utd’s benefit when they play us, in particular.

Interesting also to watch and compare Nat Philips and Rhys Williams slowly rise to the occasion after terrible early nerves and mistakes as opposed to Bailly who looked guilty all game.

Can't believe the filthy gave that clapped out old wreck Cavani another year,, Alisson's a better header of the ball than that overhyped old knacker
