    Vieira has done a bit of a management training record. Good football nous. May do well!

    I'm all for giving new people are go, but Palace should be going for someone with experience. Hodgson has made them an established Premier league club, I think they will struggle now.

    He may work out. But is just seems that employing big names never seems to work. Be interesting to see what happens if they have a poor start.

    Not really a big name anymore but rather someone who has done quite a bit to learn management since the end of his playing career and now feels ready to step up to a mid/lower PL table side.

    No idea which thread it was in and to be fair it was a while ago, but I put up a list of players that were out of contract with Palace.

    The job Hodgson has left behind is enormous.
