In fairness to pep, he didn't have the squad to compete.
Needs the owners to back him and get halland, verrati, a defensive mid, and if possible, Messi.

And a look at his Wiki page also offers some further illumination on the history of the man.

By comparison John Henry is a bit of a turd.
can't knock the guy really, he could of easily walked away before when he couldn't go to the games

it's obvious he loves the club, and generally invested a lot of his OWN money into it

Oh to have money... how dare they, oil bitches easily one of the best owners in the league, don't care what anyone has to say init

infact, probably the best miles better than our yanky doodle ones.

Bigger threat than Spurs at the moment do you think?

Let's see where Chelsea are this time next year. For all their wealth and the squad depth, they , like us, only guaranteed top 4 on the last day. It will only take a slump in form for Abramovitch to look for another manager, he's done it plenty of times before when a manager has won something the previous season. I still think the title is between us and City next season.

Spurs are a huge threat to us because they have their sights set on Chelsea. Pre Klopp and likely after Klopp they will likely be ahead of us too.
    Not miles ahead Steveo
Maybe on a par at best.

Oh behave - are you taking a snapshot of a few years.? Same few years Roman was all but having to sell Chelski?

Come on people enough.. We have done brilliant but needed 3 things to align. Chelsea with FFP player ban - Chelsea with owner all but exiled and forced to sell, City with FFP investigation...

Ok so I am basing that over the last 5-6 years since Jürgen arrived. Hardly a snapshot!?

Pretty small timescale mate considering NESV/FSG bought us in 2010 and Chelsea have still managed more in the 5 years since Klopp took over.
