Roberto Firmino reached a Brazil appearance milestone and Sadio Mane scored for Senegal in Tuesday night's international fixtures.
Firmino started for his country in a 2022 World Cup qualifier against Paraguay, which marked the Liverpool No.9’s 50th game for his country.
The tie was won 2-0 by Brazil courtesy of goals from Neymar and Lucas Paqueta, with Firmino playing 73 minutes before being withdrawn.
Reds teammates Alisson Becker and Fabinho were unused substitutes.
Mane, meanwhile, was on target for Senegal again as they registered a 2-0 victory over Cape Verde Islands in their friendly.
The forward slotted in an 86th-minute penalty to confirm the win after Idrissa Gana Gueye had opened the scoring earlier in the second half.
Caoimhin Kelleher featured for 45 minutes of Republic of Ireland’s goalless friendly against Hungary, with the goalkeeper introduced after the interval in Budapest.
