I thought Rice was especially poor in today's game for England, I really don't know why Southgate can't organise the players at his disposal to play a very good quality press and when they do that uncoordinated attempt at a press Rice was a disaster waiting to happen today and will be against better sides, was badly out of position 3 or 4 times in that game, not pressing or knowing what was on and around him and not blocking the lines effectively either, he has to do one or the other
Press or sit off but know what's on and around him and block the lines effectively dictating where the opposition can pass so a player with better reading of the game and pressing skills then has the opportunity to win or intercept the ball
