Yarmolenko with a truly appalling strike.

Not sure it’s worthy of the word strike

It's how France bored their way to winning the World Cup, set pieces and longer balls to release their quality quick forwards in behind or one v one v defenders, you'd expect Belgium to progress further and they'd be the biggest threat, but if Southgate could organise a pressing game to nullify their midfield and then release players against the very average CBs of Belgium who the forwards England have regularly bum in the the Premier League because they're not very good defenders, he could bum Belgium

Sweden just edging this at the moment but both sides committed to winning this game

I liked his cameo role, even England suddenly look better when he comes on, it's noticeable how his better positioning and blocking of the lines and with England not playing a pressing game, his understanding of when to go and press and when not to and where to position himself automatically stops opposition sides from trying to play through the lines to forward and midfielders looking to be found between defence and midfield

Hendo will start soon enough, I don't expect Southgate will start him out of choice, but either Rice or Phillips are highly likely to pick up booking and find themselves suspended, because they both make fouls through trying to recover their poor positioning
