I imagine we’re still waiting to shift big Div before bringing one in
Grief…
“Xherdan Shaqiri is on the verge of joining Lyon.
The Reds have agreed a £9.5m fee with the Ligue 1, having rejected an initial offer of £4m.
Shaqiri has started only 10 games for the Reds in the past two seasons, and made a total of 63 appearances while scoring eight goals and contributing nine assists.
Liverpool are now ready to fast-track youngster Kaide Gordon on the back of this sale.”
Not a bad sale considering only 10 games in 2 seasons.. Hopefully means it will free up a space for another foreign transfer spot.

He is literally a kid. He may be ready in 3 or 4 years but I cannot imagine him coming in for Premier League or Champions League games.
He's not taking Shaqiri's role though, not directly, so I'm not worried.
The way I see it, Elliott has taken Shaqiri's role - which I am extremely comfortable with. Gordon will then be taking what was Elliott's role. Even at that, in terms of starts (rather than appearances incl. subs) Shaqiri had about two of them in 19/20 - it's not like Gordon will be aiming to take Salah's spot.
Keen to see him play.
