Anyway, cracking start to the game, end to end with both teams going close, Hoffenheim hit the woodwork and had two booked in a real blood and thunder opening.
Lovely team goal finished by the American Gio Reyna (son of Claudio) assisted by Jude Bellingham
Dortmund 1-0 Hoffenheim
Good 5 minutes from Hoffenheim results in Baumgartner equalising for the visitors.
Dortmund 1-1 Hoffenheim
Haaland been quiet so far in the second half.
Wow. Bellingham receives the ball on the right edge of the box, takes it down and boom in with his left.
Dortmund 2-1 Hoffenheim
90th minute and Dabur stabs the ball home at the far post from a corner.
Dortmund 2-2 Hoffenheim
Been a pretty good game.
Oh my days, from the kick off Dortmund press forward, driven on by Haaland who slams home from close range as the ball ricochets around the Hoffenheim box.
VAR check but all good.
Dortmund 3-2 Hoffenheim
Wow..!!
It feels hopelessly optimistic to think it could happen, but if Arsenal took points off City tomorrow, I'd be all the more excited for our match against Chelsea.
For all the talk of strong finishes to a season, our 19th title win was basically about getting out of the blocks early and not letting the pace up. Other sides wilted under the weight of what felt like an impossible task. Going into the international break 5 or 6 points ahead of City (if everything went our way) would be really exciting, even with 35 fixtures left to go.
Shame Arsenal can't be relied upon for much these days!
