Jurgen says it’s a dislocated ankle. So it will depend on any ligament damage.
I was going to suggest that - saw the incident in real time and he looks at his boot and it’s not sitting the right way and looks unattached. Hard to believe that there will be no ligament damage. However he is so young you never know how swiftly he can recover but it will be quicker than most players - due to that age.
He wasn't, he was using Elliott as a new option at RCM in place of Keita or Thiago while moving Hendo to the LCM controller role, but Thiago played the LCM controller role very differently to how Gini payed it, his own way today and absolutely superbly it has to be said
Jurgen needs to get working on re-establishing the Robbo Mane partnership on our left, it has disappeared from our game entirely and it was the most potent in the league prior to the enforced changes that saw it break down, Thiago at LCM with Hendo at RCM is made for it

Should see Fab at 6 with Henderson right and Thiago to the left for the bigger games.
Raphinha was pretty poor today, been plenty linking him to us but I’m not sure he’s really top level
Is he?
They're not even the same kind of player.
Gini was (is) more of a utility midfielder and workhorse-type midfielder that does a lot of the grafting type tasks in midfield.
Thiago is more of a specialist midfielder more in the mold of a Xabi than a Masch (whom Gini hews closer to in their style of play)
I think a team needs at least one of each of those types to have more balance.
Right now Hendo can cover a little bit of both but he falls more on the workhorse spectrum than the specialist midfielder.
Maybe Keita eventually evolves to become more of the latter, but with him his health is always a question mark.
