Seems these officials didn't get the memo about 'meaningful contact' Palace had about 5 or 6 free given to them that half for nothing touches/contact

One of the weakest parts of Thiago's game.
Giving away silly fouls when he should know better.

Luckily that one comes to nothing.

Thiago gives away a poor freekick versus a soft Palace boy.

    Alison saves and its half-time

    1-0

Can’t see it but 70% possession and 14 shots 5 on target v 7 shots 1 on target looks a pretty dominant half.

Palace had the better of it in the first 20-25 minutes

Thereafter we really turned up the pressure and got a goal. Palace still look like they could trouble us in the second half.

Over to Jurgen to do his thing.

HT 1-0 Decent half, nice to see the variation on the corners that we missed so much last season with out our 2 towering CBs to aim for taking several players away being brought back with avengance, like to see Konate use his excellent medium to long passing a little when the opportunity is there for him to do so as he seems a little reticent to after an early attempted longer pass was intercepted

Over to Jurgen to make sure we're a little bit better second half, administer a bumming, get the win and another vital 3 points

Kudos to Palace we are in a proper match.

All being said we have played well. Fantastic combination plays all over the park. Thiago is the Thiago we signed, world class. Kostas Tsimikas fantastic, Robbo u have to up ur crossing game and overall play this Greek leftie didnt come to be number 2.

Jota has been abysmal. Love the boy but strikes me as a confidence player, if he does 1 or 2 things wrong then jis game just goes downhill.

Mane and Salah are at their best. Hendo brilliant shift.
