True. Absolutely shocking that an area with 2 of the countries most storied ( don’t laugh at the BS ) clubs STILL isn’t served with decent transport links.
It really is un-bloody-believable. This is where I think having American owners would have been a huge benefit - Sod’s law means that it is Liverpool bloody city council in the way of the club having the infrastructure it should.
I regularly lost one of my brothel creepers when right in the middle, right behind the goal as the crowd lifted me up and carried me a few yards off to one side when some excitement occurred. Someone always helped to reunite me with them thankfully. I'm hoping the new standing zones will be a success and could eventually do away with the chairs and therefore add a few numbers on the Kop

My first time on the kop was Billy Liddell's testimonial, stood behind one of the rails, still looking for the ribs I swear I've lost when the crowd surged forward, quickly ducked under to get my back to it. Agree about standing on the kop, if you had rails say per 10 people you would stop a lot of the swaying forward.
That’s an impressive bit of history there, retired. Hats off to you.
I was in the Kop when Arsenal beat us 2-0 to steal the title. Worst atmosphere ever at Anfield. But it was so packed in anticipation of another title - I had to sneak in with my uncle.
My Aunty was going out with a policeman and he met us at the away end corner entrance at an arranged time and just let us in. He then walked us down the side track in front of the Centenary and helped us climb in over the hoardings into the heaving crowd. Could barely breath in there that day. Given Hillsborough, it was silly looking back now but the Kop could actually take those crowds
My dad had 3 ribs broken on the Kop in the 50’s after a game. One of his first few games outside of the boys pen too.
He always warned me of the dangers of terracing - which i totally ignored. I had a few close shaves - once at Upton Park and another time at White Hart Lane - both times after we scored and the away end went wild. When the tragedy at Hillsborough came to pass he went to bits - not just sadness but pure rage.!
The game has changed in so many ways - yes it has become over commercialised which I don’t like BUT it has also become a much safer and better environment.
That old 27,000 Kop though - so dangerous, but totally electric. A raucous wall of noise. Like huge waves drawing back down a steep beach over big stones! That raw primeval power made it very hard for the opposition to stick to the game plan.
I always try to remember this - bricks and mortar are largely irrelevant, it’s the people, the fans that make Liverpool FC what it is.
It isn’t the owners or the data analytics teams or even the current players, it’s the spirit of the people who passionately follow the club. Like this lot in Madrid.
Just watch these 2 great managers. They know the game but both wish they had support like that..
Liverpool fans are unique - they deserve the best because they ARE the best around!
I don't often nod in agreement with much of what you say (that's not a pop - just an observation) but when football is being commoditized, monetized and productized (zeds for effect). Where many club's uniqueness is contrived or inauthentic. It is things like that which set us apart.
Sometimes we forget that

"...and my inch is like a freight train, so I only use it in self defence"
You've added so much there vin.. Well done that man
From my recolection Steveo was all for leaving Anfield. (sorry if i have the wrong person)
The owners have made loads of errors but they did a great job in staying at LFC'S home and rebuilding and as well emplyong Klopp.
Cleaning up the Scots since the 13th century
