Bit like at the other end when he looked shocked to see the Brentford lad beat him to the ball and score

Problem with January purchases for Klopp is that he usually wants them to spend several weeks in training getting up to speed before starting them. The season will be all but over.

Klopp has already lost three of his preferred midfielders at this stage of the season and we look weak in midfield. I can't imagine there aren't conversations about buying a new midfielder in Jan going on behind the scenes. If they bought someone in there would be four additional midfielders coming in, which is probably more than Klopp wants to deal with. This is the balancing act that they are faced with. Jones looked like the new dawning of Christ on Wednesday and now suddenly we all wish he was replaced.
Jones is a youngster who will make mistakes, other senior players out there were as bad as him.
If you're not sure what to do with the ball, just put it in the net, and we'll talk about the other options later... Bob Paisley.

Certainly, we are not dire.. anyone suggesting that is off their rocker..

I don't think anyone wants him replaced surely ..? he was again comfortably better than Fab or Hendo. Think that is the point. Gini was the one we depended on most. I know many think he wasn't that great but he was everywhere putting out fires and knitting together what Hendo and Fab cannot. That has gone and we were left relying on Elliott ( 18 ) and now Jones ( 20 ) both excellent prospects, but prospects is the word - certainly in Elliott's case.

Look what happened when we stole from Peter to pay Paul - moving Fab and Hendo to CB positions last term. We got drop kicked.

The midfield is so crucial. We haven’t had a great one for a long time BUT it was serviceable and they worked tirelessly. Hendo’s lack of technique is going to be exposed with ruthless fashion without Gini to bail him. We need Thiago back ASAP.. without him where is that tight knit passing and control coming from? If Thiago ain’t there you are relying on Hendo and Fab and one from Jones or Keita…?

Jones is good but young and raw. He was tasked with being the sole creator yesterday - it made it easy for City. We have a problem and it sits slap bang in the middle of our game.
Oi you simpleton, Captain fantastic was directing the Braindead Brazilian from the sidelines using wifi.

However on the pitch Hendo cannot direct the Brazilian as he hasn't been able to interface Google translate whilst playing.

Klopp tried to direct the Brazilian Brainlet as Hendo did beforehand, but the spoofer doesn't have hendos football intelligence.

People think its klopp who kick-starts our side after a half time team talk.
In reality Hendo merely leaves it till half time so as not to demoralise the players in public beratings.
Another reason why carra was shit.

Alisson/Fabinho are likely to miss Watford game.

Mane/Tsimikas could too as they are going to red zone countries.

City/Cheksea started slowly last season but its going to be a grind again and I expect them to be above us.

11 v 11 we can give any of them a game we know that but squad wise nobody comes close in world football to their depth.
Playing with 2 sixes would give our team and squad longevity.
You could pop Thiago/Milner/Keita/Maybe Gomez as he's hopeless at CB in alongside one of Fab or Hendo.
Then you'd also get another berth for a more attacking player to play regularly.
In our strongest side perhaps Jota or Bobby not on the bench.
Whereas with the squad in mind you'd see greater use of Taki/Div/Ox/Jones etc in more attacking roles.

We pretty much need the midfield Version of vvd to come in to make a differ for us this season. Does that player even exist.

Some would argue that we're a Fabinho split second reaction away from a 3-2 v Man City and a poor Salah finish from going 4-2 up against Brentford. Others will say we're in deep Didgeridoo without Mo.

Of the 114 points available, those that come against sides not named Man City, Man United or Chelsea amounts to 96 - they're still the points I'm most focused on and we have dropped 2 of those, from the available 15. I think getting 80-from-96 is a good target and of Man City/Chelsea/Man United I'd be targeting Ole's side as the one we can hopefully get 4 points from.

Even 6 points (6 draws, or 3 draws and a win) from the "top" sides plus 80/96 would get you 86 points this season - we'd be bloody close with that. We could lose to Chelsea and Man City (but get a win and a draw v Man United) and get those 6 points, as an example.

Will be a challenge but I think it's a very achievable target.
I feel your perspective is a little mollycoddled in optimism.

Last seasons champions of the pl and cl are in part the champions due to our poor season. They are good sides too of course.

It's a new season and we have our aims, which means we have to be the best in the land.

You can argue like that or that Milner should have been sent off, or that city botched a good break.
Reality is we took the lead with 14 mins to play and conceded 5 mins later.
Having lost a winning position 4 times in the last 2 pl games.

We don't find ourselves in a bad situation in the league presently.
But we typically fuck about a bit in January/February so we need to bear that in mind.

The keys to our title successes has been the defensive record, mental strength, scoring goals and doing what has to be done.

We are scoring goals, but seeing out games and the mental strength are lacking a bit.
Not a crisis, but there are signs to be heeded and problems to be solved.

You could expect to concede against City or Chelsea, but not 3 goals away at Brentford.
