Jones played for U21s the other he will be available.

The midfield will be Hendo Jones then take your pick from Milner/Ox/Keita.

Thiago/Jota possibly on bench not sure we risk them.

Seems a decent crosser of the ball, and can get to the bye-line, plus decent corners - all of which Robbo is struggling with at the moment!
Does Sarr play on the right for Watford? We'd need both our fullbacks on it as he destroyed us last time out

Remember all the “experts” who said we were well stocked in midfield after the sale of Gini…?
Like last season, you take heavy injuries in a specific position, you're going to be weaker. We're missing 4 central midfielders.

If we had a couple of keepers injured, people would be screaming that we needed a world class 4th choice keeper!

Sorry How many world class midfielders do we have again?

You are making the same mistake many did last summer when I said selling Lovren and not replacing was remiss.! Effectively once Virgil went down we were relying on Gomez and Matip!!!! Spot the problem.

This season - no lessons learned....and we have let Gini go without a replacement. You are counting Elliott and Jones as 2 of our 4 missing midfielders... so for me when you talk about "world class" - how many world class midfielders do we have even when they are all fit?

For the record - mentioning Oxlade Chamberlain or Naby Keita is becoming tiresome because neither get a look in.

Are they even in Klopp's plans?

They certainly would not be in mine and I personally believe that was obvious 18 months ago!

Jota expected to be available Saturday I guess on the bench though.

That’s the question I am asking.

Without knowing, I would have thought perhaps it’s because at present we stand to make a humongous loss on both?

So rather than take the hit - we continue as is, making it look like we have options - on paper at least - simply carrying on in the hope that Klopp can work more miracles.

    Our current Midfield options:

    Henderson
    Fabinho
    Milner
    Thiago
    Curtis Jones
    Keita
    Minamino
    Oxlade-Chamberlain

    Have I missed anyone?
    World class - ????

Elliott is also an “option” with his wealth is premier league experience.

Don’t get me wrong - I rate the lad highly but he is 18..

Minamino? He is a forward surely

As I have said time and time again …Keita - Oxlade Chamberlain. Are not options as they are never fit or seemingly good enough to be picked. Milner - is he really an option? Maybe for a few games but again he is not a viable option that you could expect to play a season with.

It’s like last season when many said - we have Matip and even Fabinho..?

We can all write any amount of names we like down - what matters is who can actually play in a side that will challenge for the big prizes.

    Hmm
