It might be Ian - but you can count them on one hand across his entire career.

It’s all down to Salah and most of us know it.

Hendo will need to play a blinder with that lineup.

I hope I am totally wrong but this won’t be easy.

Keita not AS big a call as some might think -

    Presses per 90 -

    35 Elliott, Jota
    34 Firmino, Keita
    33 Jones
    29 Henderson

    Presses leading to shots -

    5 Keita
    4 Salah
    3 Jones
    2 Firmino, Fabinho

Presses leading to counter attacks -

    8 Keita
    6 Salah
    4 Jota, Henderson, Firmino

Yes, Keita perhaps isn't our best once countered on and certainly I don't like it when people run at him, but he does do his bit and does give us something when advancing the ball.

These games never are mate. The last hammering we gave them was during Rafa years. Oh how one today would be nice.
Saying that a 1-0 og winner would do as well !!

Indeed - any win at all. Don’t care if it’s a last minute ball off the back of a United bum for an Og

    Alisson

    Trent Konate Van Dijk Robertson

    Milner Henderson Keita

    Salah Firmino Jota

I expect our lads to deliver a deep penetrating with long firm strokes bumming, get the win and another absolutely vital 3 points here today.

Mane is in the best form he's had for 2 years nearly and he's dropped for Jota who's been abysmal in every game hes played bar 1 or 2.
Might just be my cynicism but is this the start of Mane being forced out to fund Mo's new contract?
Keita I'm just fuming with. I said midweek I'd be amazed if he started after his half a shift midweek. I'm not amazed I'm pissed off.
Not too concerned over the Konate one.
Midfield is where this will be won and lost.

I highly suspect those pressing stats are wildly inaccurate, they are most likely stats for individual presses of the player in possession, that's not how pressing works, it is the pressing and positioning of all the players denying the player in possession any options or an easy option that facilitates them being pressed by an individual player successfully, but without the combined team press of all the other players, it wouldn't be possible.

The only way they could successfully list and document true and accurate pressing stats, would be to analyse each and every game in its entirety, checking each players position in the press and counter press which were in the right positions ensuring the player pressed individually had no options
