We should have scored more than the 5, but that's just been hypercritical. We all would have taken that score before the game.

One could argue that Villa did nothing special. 3 deflections and Adrian faffed at least two of their goals.

Villa were exceedingly lucky to score 7 goals. Anyone who watched the game could argue that a draw would not be that unexpected on chances. That's football.

Just want to say that after the dust has settled, and the emotions have calmed down a bit, and I've seen different footage from the game..I think that although Mo's hat trick was incredible, in footballing terms, Bobby Firmino was man of the Match. he is really back to his sharpest best, and it hardly gets a mention, even on here.

They were lucky to get away with just the one red card.. Fernandes and Ronaldo should have gone as well

From the Echo some good news for a change

Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders admits Naby Keita was fortunate to escape serious injury after being on the receiving end of a red-card challenge from Paul Pogba.

Scans have revealed Keita suffered only heavy bruising despite the tackle forcing him to be stretchered off during Sunday's 5-0 Premier League romp at Manchester United.

Slabhead was a clear red Jota clean through and getting the ball.

Fred was lucky as Mane got sent off for the same thing.

Fernandes was late could have been red but think yellow was right.

CR should have gone he lost his head completely.

It's great to see. Konate looks like he'd have them both

Remember the game v united where Gerrard came on after the halftime break and got a red card after a minute for a foul on Mata.

Broke my heart to see Lallana floored in the first half by Jones who crashed in through him from behind whilst going to header the ball. Lallana lay on the floor and no-one gave a shit or stood up for him with the right passion for a any game nevermind a derby game.

Any more than five and I'm sure Ole would have gone before now.
I believe we were able to rest many of our players, to a degree, for the last twenty to thirty minutes. There was far less intensity needed.
