    - Around £30-35m on Luke Shaw
    - Around £30-£35m on Lindelof
    - Around £30 on Bailly
    - Around £40m on Varane (needs time to be fair, I guess)
    - Around £80m on Maguire

That's around £230-£240m on defenders alone, never mind wages.

    They are shockingly wasteful.
    Lol !!
    Oh well.
Sadly their best player got taken off at half time.

I just looked at the salaries of their players. Can you believe they are paying Sancho whos 21 350,000 a week? Cavani is on 250,000 a week..

They’re in an awful state. They renewed mata bailly and Jones only recently and blocked lingard leaving. They could have easily financed 2 class midfielders with the money they waste on deadwood.

Having a bottomless pit is only fruitful if its spent on the right players. If it is, success can be achieved at a fraction of the cost. Its not WHAT you spend, it's HOW you spend it. Newcastle will find that out in the coming months and years.

Having klopp helps greatly too though. Our players are so drilled in their roles that I’d wager a youth could come and look good over a short period. He’s the key IMO.

We bought all our titles back in the 80s, it just wasn't the obscene amounts that are handed out now. United were spending big trying to get a title or two, but like us in the 90s, it didn't work.
