Booooooooooooooooom about fucking time, Minaminoooooooooooooooooooo 1-0

Come the fuck on Liverpool, get yourselves a quick fire second goal here now, instructing Origi to stop coming towards Tsimikas looking for a short one to feet every time he gets good space on our left to put a quality delivery in would be a fucking great start, get him going away from him, just the other side of their centre CB to give Tsimikas something to aim for and be set to make a run to attack the fucking ball

Williams looking more direct/confident this year like his breakthrough year good to see even if it is only Preston.

Morton's been great so far, thought he was really good in the last round too, looks a decent steady influence at No6 for these types of game and a decent enough passer

I think the finishing has been worked on, Minamino held his position very well to take his goal, it's noticeable, to me at least, that our players have been timing and coordinating their runs into the box a lot better this season, not crowding each other out, not going too early, not blocking the line of a pass to another of our players and considering and playing the percentages better, that's why we've scored a lot from first time finishes from balls in and following play up very quickly for a fair few tap ins

The holding of runs, so the ball can be played in behind the defence between them and the keeper has been vastly improved

Come the fuck on Liverpool, get yourselves a second goal here now

Much better by Gomez on that occasion, although Virgil, Matip or Konate would have spotted that ball in flight early and headed it clear before the player could bring it down
