Well that’s put a dampener on my Friday.
Yep, sadly that bit was like lobbing a rotten tomato into the mix. I don't want to think about that. Hope it doesn't happen.

For his last season the Kop should be belting out a version of “Please Don’t Go” by KC & The Sunshine Band.

    Maybe.

I think we'd need to have a serious talent or two coming through at the time to incentivise the overseeing of the next "cycle" and it's exhausting to do something like that.

Also is a man who likes a challenge, so if we have won another Champion's League or Premier League by then he may feel he has done his bit.

I'm cautiously optimistic that if we were sitting on 20 titles by the end of his final season he might be encouraged (and given a heck of a pay packet) to stay on to get that 21st title depending on whether or not Pep has finally slid off - meaning he can leave with us as historical front-runners in the comp we care most about.

So hard to say. I just hope we can put everything in place (stadium, transfer funds, crop of Academy talents) to make him want to Lord it over us for further years - him being here just fits and whilst the club will endure without him (as it did post-Shankly and post-Paisley) it will be a massive, massive readjustment.
