Maybe we'll sing Coutinho this window
"If Everton were playing at the bottom of my garden, i'd close the curtains”
With Jota in and succession planning to think about, we should certainly aim to move one of the front three on for the correct price - much better than simply letting a contract run out in terms of recouping some funds for the future, plus you get to bed in the player you aim to use (in the next "cycle") a year earlier, with less competition for spaces.
Salah's obviously amazing and we should do what we can to keep him, but if someone was willing to give us a pretty good fee for Mane or Firmino in the Summer I think I'd take it. If Klopp is to stay beyond 2024 I'd like him to have a young squad to work with so his successor isn't left in a difficult spot and the same goes for if he doesn't extend.
It's not an immediate problem, but when you have a couple of your main midfielders (Henderson, Thiago) who would be "older" at the same time as well, along with centre-backs, the problem mounts for the next cycle, as older players have less value for generating funds. It's another part of why a young midfielder and a young forward would be such useful acquisitions in the Summer - with centre-back at least we have Konate and Gomez, with the likes of Koumetio behind them - whatever feelings folks may have about their individual qualities, the age profile is at least right.

Sid knows he's crazy and he likes it. Balinkay
going over the last few pages of this thread it's pretty obvious there's not a lot happening transfer wise. lololol
Cant say ive seen much of him.
He was Porto best player against us in one game which isnt much to go off.
He plays wide left forward usually and our main journo think he is being watched by us.
It depends how much Porto want for him I guess as its not a top 5 league he plays in.
