Pleasantly surprised if Fulham allowed us to have him - there was that dispute nonsense over Elliott's fee, so I suspect we're currently bottom of the list of clubs they'd be happy to deal with.

A pity, as he is talented, homegrown and fits in with the low-risk fashion in which we like to do things.

If Fulham will sell to us I am absolutely all for it.

Long contract, loan him out for a season, explain to him whose spot he will be competing for as we won't have all of Mane/Salah/Firmino as we enter 23/24.

Hopefully he'll see the trust we have put in Trent/Jones/Elliott to various degrees and know we're worth joining.

His real value is probably £20-25m going off what others went for in the past.

Johnson at Forest is good they'd want £20m for him he wouldnt suit us imo but he would do a job at Brighton/Leeds etc.

Reality is we need to keep HG quota up and we need to do it before their price is out of control.

£80-100m for Grealish, Bellingham, Rice is just OTT.
