Don't think any of us would be too upset if we didn't register Karius...

He'll leave in Summer so it isn't a problem for much longer.

Whilst on the subject of goalkeepers, Karius will go, Adrian likely goes and we could promote Pitaluga.

Little bit more wiggle-room for the wage bill, with basically no loss in terms of quality, given our use of Alisson and Kelleher.

I think we registered 4 keepers for two reasons.

    Brazil being arseholes and Covid.

I agree with Jozza we not be sad to see Karius go but Klopp doesnt treat players like that and as we not sign anyone we'll just leave it as it is.

Someone could offer Karius a contract but he doesnt seem keen to leave.

    He would yeah.

If he is on £30-40k a week we could pay him off to leave as it saves us money and he gets a move to play.

I guess football world is much different to how us fans see it !

I could of course be wrong, but I'm quietly confident that he is on about £60k per week and that Adrian is on nearly the same as well.

If accurate, the larger part of £120,000 and Milner's £140,000 (approx) coming off the wage bill already opens doors.

    You could be right Sid.

If a club offered him say £10-15k a week we could top him up but its needs him to agree and a club to buy him first.

Adrian is a difficult one we might keep him as third choice if he took say £30k a week ??

Porto holding out for £50.2m for Luis Diaz, who has 16 goals this season; Spurs have been locked in talks with Porto this week, and are said to be willing to pay up to £46m; Diaz was a summer target for Liverpool, but Spurs' interest may accelerate their plans.
Liverpool are considering a late £45m move to sign Luis Diaz from Porto, who are also in talks with Tottenham for the forward.

The Colombia winger was manager Jurgen Klopp's first-choice for the summer transfer window, but Liverpool have accelerated their plans due to Spurs' strong interest.

Liverpool are said to be offering an initial £37m, with bonuses included in the deal that will only be triggered if Diaz becomes a big success at Anfield.
Tottenham have been locked in talks with Porto over Diaz this week, with the Premier League club said to be willing to pay up to £46m.

Sources in Portugal suggest Spurs are prepared to offer £37.6m up front for Diaz, with an additional £8.4m in performance-related add-ons.

Also in the Echo from Paul Gorst.

Liverpool have moved to hijack Tottenham Hotspur's bid for Luis Diaz, making an offer close to £50million for the Porto winger.

The Reds had originally taken the decision to keep their powder dry in the January transfer window but have now opted to make the move for the Colombia international before Monday's 11pm deadline after Spurs made their own advances this week.

Liverpool are looking to pay an initial fee of £37m with a further £12m in add-ons for a player who Jurgen Klopp had identified as a first-choice option for the summer of 2022.

Diaz is believed to have had a £67m release clause within his contract, but Porto have been forced to take a financial hit after finishing third in their Champions League group behind Liverpool and Atletico Madrid, meaning the Reds have been able to see a £37m offer accepted.
Anfield sources believe an early move for Diaz presents better value for the club with Porto looking for a fee in excess of £49m in the summer months, which was the winger's original asking price.
