Seriously though - you'd have to think (if he takes it) that he absolutely loves the work of being a Manager, if he's willing to jeopardise what is limited time - he is 74 after all and if he lives to be, I don't know, 80-85 let's say, then he'd be giving up quite a bit of precious time.
Irrespective of whether anyone rates him or not, it just seems very odd to want to re-enter the fray at this stage. You'd have to wonder if the extra bit of money that would presumably go to his family (assuming he has kids/grandkids?) might be a factor, though surely he's accumulated enough cash over the years that they'd be pretty set anyway.
All very weird all-round.
Some people just don't handle retirement very well and can't picture themselves doing anything other than what they've done their whole lives..
I guess he's one of those kinds.
I don't begrudge him the desire to get back into the profession he loves so much.
But to do it with that dross, and for that thankless a job of trying to keep them up?
