- Porto owe us money.
- Minamino will be sold if we get an appropriate bid.
- Nat Phillips will be sold if we get an appropriate bid.
- Origi will be sold if we get an appropriate bid, or we'll play him for few enough games so as to not trigger his extension.
- Departing players mentioned above (if they all leave) will be money off the wage bill (which adds up quick)
- Departure of Karius and likely departures of Adrian and Milner will be money off the wage bill

The "bits and pieces" of wage bill (let's say 4 players paid at £3m per year, as numbers plucked out of the air - that's £12m per year!) that come off stack quickly - plus transfer fees are often spread out in installments rather than lump sums - so that could cover a (hypothetical) £36m transfer fee spent over 3 years - 3 installments of £12m.

I certainly don't think that the signing of Diaz means we have to sell Salah or Thiago or anything like that.
