Fabulous first hour from Newcastle, right up for this, as are the crowd, on their feet to a man roaring on the press.

Whether they can see it out against a Utd now boasting a line up including Ronaldo, Cavani, Fernandes, Sancho and Rashford is anyone’s guess as Utd go all out attack.
They have a 2 in midfield of McTominay and Fernandes. Newcastle will probably need a second you would imagine

Too much space given to Cavani in the penalty area, they block the first effort but it come straight back to him and he pokes it into the corner for an undeserved equaliser.

Oh my days, Newcastle hit one post then De Gea turns the second shot round the other.
Newcastle really do deserve the three points here.

No use having games in hand if you don't win them.

Silly buggers. Good result for Arsenal+Spurs.

    F/T Newcastle 1-1 Utd
Newcastle deserved the victory but just couldn’t take one of their 5 or 6 good chances with 2 at least being sitters, to finish off a poor Utd side.
If Newcastle can play like this going forward they should stay up, a full St James’ got it’s money’s worth.

Utd? Worse than ever. Totally disjointed, devoid of any pattern of play whatsoever and the back four was utterly awful, particularly the two CB’s Varane and Maguire. De Gea saved their arses and not for the first time.

Joelinton motm playing a very energetic deeper role, easily the best player on the pitch.

The likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham pose no current threat to our record success rate in Europe or any chance of reaching 19 League titles in future.

Manchester City continuing to buy £50m players for back-ups and the possibility of Man United getting their act together and building a side that could win a 21st Title before we win a 20th and 21st is a more pressing concern.
ManCity have agreed a deal with Barca to sell Torres for 55mil incl addons 47 mil up front pretty good considering they ONLY paid 20mil for him from Valencia
