The whole thing is a farce regardless of what Wright was banging on about.

Refs blowing up early 85 mins
    Playing without keepers
Covid is bad over there all teams hit apart from Cameroon (Mmmm)
Mane reported to be knocked out but played on

Yeah lots to love about international footy !! soon as Mane/Salah go out the better.

Picked up Egypt v Ivory Coast at half time, finished 0-0 AET. Pens next.
The only positive is that I didn’t catch the first half.
Zero quality despite a smattering of Prem players with Mo on one side Zaha on the other.

Unfortunately Mo won it with the final penalty after Utd’s Eric Bailly missed his kick.
Mo at least one more game before coming home, same for Sadio

Yeah, but that was before we discovered that Fabby was our new Milner.

But seriously though, It's always been said that defenders and defensive midfielders are better penalty takers than attackers or strikers, probably because defensive players are reactive and instinctive and don't think (or overthink) the kick lilke attackers often have a tendency to.

(*I guess it also applies to goalies as well, as penalty takers, since they too are more reactive than proactive when playing)

Will mean the World to him.

Ideally they win the tournament, Mo remains injury-free and comes back absolutely brimming with confidence.

Or if he does come back early, he comes back angry and determined to prove any doubters wrong - seems much of the footballing World don't rate him as highly as we do.

Egypt were slight underdogs iirc, so they've done brilliantly to progress.

Both games finished 0-0 after 120 minutes yesterday. Pretty turgid stuff.
