What I’m trying to say is Villa as an example spend more and buys lots of £20-30m players which improve them but wouldn’t improve us they’d be bench warmers.

I don’t care what anyone says Rice, Bellingham, Grealish are not worth anywhere near £100m.

We do need to spend next summer though I mean now is better but it’s not gonna happen !
It's easier to improve from a lower base as we did in Klopps earlier years.
You can buy Salah for 35 mill from Roma and if he's a dud sell him on easy enough. His wages back then not too big for a pl club or some of the foreign leagues non top tier clubs.
Arsenal seem to be following us or trying.

Whereas at the top end wage demands are astronomical and duds become a massive problem.
Players where selling them on requires a top club to essentially subsidise their wages.

Think we'll see players and their agents move towards more reasonable release clauses, some of la ligas went mental after the neymar, transfer. Maybe even seeing more top talent leaving on free contracts, as clubs like city and psg don't lose players, and taking signing on bonuses.
Wage demands won't be going down anytime soon and we can thank the 3 oil clubs for adding to those demands and inflation. Tv money has drive wages too.

Remember when I would say buy Mbappe and people said we'd never pay anyone near 400kpw.
Ginis on 300kpw at psg and Salah is asking for a reasonable 350kpw weekly average salary which I'd speculate has some bonus performance related payments attached.

Many people hate the fees and more so the wages but then they also want clubs to pay the fees and wages they hate.

I think the ‘paying in instalments’ is key with FSG and one of the things mentioned by one of the Ed’s on the Liverpool Rumours page. FSG always try to negotiate as little upfront as possible which sometimes means we miss out on first choice targets

Just need to find another Coutinho AND another buyer willing to blow their load.

Thiago was the right type of player but years too late, still we wouldn’t be in the CL but for his displays last term while we had no Captain or Central defence

Brentford are playing 3/5/2. it will come down to our width they will play deep with basically 5 across the defence and 2 in front.. we need to stop over playing and do something different in this game

    Curtis Jones to the rescue.

Surely Henderson can rise above a 4 out of 10 today against Brentford?

Would be made up if he got an assist or goal today. Even a good performance, as he is inconsistent, sometimes slowing play down.

Still rate him very highly. Still 20 (21 at the end of the month) and as such has a lot of time left.

He's a brilliant young player with loads of potential . Nothing wrong with hyping up one of our own. Sad that some like to put young players down if they have a poor game.
