Hope the powers that be aren't utterly toothless and inept about dealing with the latest.

Apart from close geographical connections they also have huge trade connections which makes sense. Some of that trade is military. also India had a problem with COP26 which further links it with Russia and China.

The dictatorship accusation has its limits.. Putin is actually quite popular in his own country - far more popular than Biden is for example..

Plus, when you start to ask who is dictating policy in our countries, it becomes hard to argue that these people represent us in a meaningful way. You look at someone like Victoria Nuland, who has been pushing wars from within the US government inside administrations from both parties and she wasn't elected at all. She is also pushing her own agenda in Ukraine.

Plus, the EU is run by people no one is able to elect any more. Those of us who objected to it got called racists and stupid by the political mainstream who seem to think dictatorships are good when it suits them.

One of the reasons China, Russia and India are grouping together is because they stand against the world order that wants to dictate to them how to organise themselves. Climate Change is a convenient vehicle to that end but they can quietly see it is exaggerated and hypocritical.

If we could all look beyond our differences and see what unites us what a wonderful world it would be.
