Match Thread : Brighton v Liverpool

Two massive away games coming up, nothing but 6 points is acceptable in the pursuit of Manchester City.
Strong line up today with a very strong bench.

    1 Alisson

    66 Alexander-Arnold
    32 Matip
    4 van Dijk
    26 Robertson

    14 Henderson
    3 Fabinho
    8 Keïta

    11 Salah
    10 Mané
    23 Díaz

    Substitutes
    6 Thiago Alcántara
    7 Milner
    9 Firmino
    12 Gomez
    17 Jones
    20 Jota
    21 Tsimikas
    62 Kelleher
    67 Elliott

    Alisson

    Trent Matip Van Dijk Robertson

    Henderson Fabinho Keita

    Salah Mane Diaz

Not the line up I was hoping for, I understand the most likely thought process behind it though, although for me Keita and Thiago at LCM and RCM with Hendo at No6 gives us our strongest possible press and counter press and makes us far better offensively in our distribution and stronger defensively

I thoroughly expect our lads to administer a hard, deep penetrating bumming, get the win and another absolutely vital 3 points here today

Come the fucking FUCK on Liverpool, get the win here today

It is the right midfield as Thiago didnt train for a day or two.

Either injured from Alexis challenge on his thigh or he was ill.

Its a stronger team than I expected an hour ago !

I think Jurgen, may have been engaging Potter and Brighton in some mind games for this one, trying to make them believe we'd likely be without Virgil, Matip and Konate through illness

With Thiago having been ill or had a knock it is our strongest midfield to be fair and in the 2-2 in the first meeting this season they exploited Jones' and Oxlade's piss poor attempts at pressing and counter pressing to get a draw

A brace from Naby and another goal for Diaz would be most welcome today

Hope we get our shape right today, though Brightons results suggest they've fallen off it a lot.
